Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain the incinerator in a safe and efficient manner following all safety protocols and procedures

Monitor and record the incinerators performance and report any issues to the Chief Engineer

Ensure that all waste materials including garbage oily rags and sludge are properly segregated and disposed of in the incinerator

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the incinerator to ensure its proper functioning

Keep accurate records of all incinerator operations and maintenance activities

Assist with other engineering duties as needed such as general maintenance and repairs

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience as an Incinerator Operator or in a similar role

Knowledge of international regulations and guidelines for waste incineration at sea

Familiarity with different types of waste materials and their proper disposal methods

Basic understanding of marine engineering and machinery

Good communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment

Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions

Valid certifications and licenses as required by international and local regulations
