Job Description
As an Electronics Engineer you will join the Measurement Test & Analysis team within the Beams department.
In this position youll take a key role in the Sensors Acquisition and Motion Control Framework (SamBuCA) and the Distributed I/O Tier (DI/OT) project at CERN.
Your responsibilities
You will focus on the development of Production Test Systems (PTS) stress and reliability tests and validation test benches for the SamBuCa and DI/OT projects.
- Design and develop Production Test Systems (PTS) for advanced electronics;
- Create and execute stress and reliability tests for the SamBuCa and DI/OT projects;
- Develop and validate test benches for series production to ensure product quality and reliability;
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including design and production engineers to optimize test processes and ensure compliance with project requirements;
- Analyze test data troubleshoot issues and implement improvements;
- Prepare documentation and reports to support validation and production processes.
Your profile
Skills
- Basic knowledge of Electronics circuit design and testing;
- Proficiency in Python and C programming and scripting;
- Familiarity with various testing types (Production Reliability validation PTS);
- Experience with tools like JIRA Bugzilla or Redmine for tracking issues;
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI Travis CI) for integrating testing into the development process;
- Proficiency in Git or other version control systems;
- Knowledge of SQL for database testing and validation;
- Fluent in English the ability to work in French would be an advantage.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
- You have a professional background in Electronic engineer (or a related field) and have either:
- a Masters degree with 2 to 6 years of postgraduation professional experience;
- or a PhD with no more than 3 years of postgraduation professional experience.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
Additional Information :

Contract duration: 24 months with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
