The Department of Information Technology (DIT) for the Stateof North Carolina is seeking a skilled and detailoriented Business Analystto support app rationalization efforts and business architecture initiatives.The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across variousstate departments to analyze optimize and consolidate the portfolio ofapplications and IT systems. This role will be key to aligning technology withbusiness strategies and ensuring that the states digital infrastructure isefficient scalable and costeffective.
Key Responsibilities:
App Rationalization:
o Collaborate with crossfunctional teams toassess the current application portfolio identifying redundant obsolete orunderutilized systems.
o Analyze the lifecycle performance and value ofexisting applications to guide decisions on retirement consolidationreplacement or optimization.
o Support the development of roadmaps andstrategies to streamline the application portfolio ensuring alignment withbusiness goals and technology standards.
Business Architecture Support:
o Assist in the creation and documentation ofbusiness architecture models aligning business processes with technologysolutions.
o Work with stakeholders to identify businessrequirements system dependencies and pain points in current workflows.
o Ensure that technology solutions and applicationrationalization efforts align with the overall business architecture framework.
Qualifications:
o Experience:
Minimum of 35years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role with a focus onapplication portfolio management business architecture and/or IT strategy.
Provenexperience in app rationalization or business architecture efforts especiallyin large complex organizations or public sector environments.
Strongunderstanding of business processes systems integration and the softwaredevelopment lifecycle.
