The company is a construction company based in New York that specializes in concrete and masonry services. They offer a range of services including foundation work concrete pours and masonry repairs. The company has been in operation for over 20 years and serves both residential and commercial clients in the New York metropolitan area.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator with a strong background in Heavy Civil Estimating and handson experience in excavation foundation deep foundation drilling and concrete work for building and landbased construction projects. This role involves managing complex estimating activities with a focus on public bidding and public work projects within the New York City area. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for accurately forecasting project costs preparing detailed proposals and collaborating closely with project teams to ensure efficient costeffective project execution.
Must Have:
- 10 years minimum strictly as an estimator in the NYC heavy civil market. The focus is excavation foundations deep foundation drilling concrete superstructure bridges heavy roadways and infrastructure.
- Must routinely bid on projects over $
- Must have insight into typical means and methods and have a grasp of production.
- No other markets will qualify. Must be NYC heavy civil with NYC area projects.
- Minimum 3 of those years as the lead estimator (title doesnt matter as long as they were the estimator in charge of wrapping up the bid and/or proposal completing the bidbooks and bid forms and sending it out).
- Must be proficient in Excel Adobe PDF and Bluebeam.
- 5 of those years MUST have direct agency bidding experience to agencies like NYC DDC DEP DOT SCA Parks Dept and Sanitation Dept. (Jersey experience is a plus.)
- It cannot be just a director. The role is to read through all documents understand the work and structure the bid.
- MUST HAVE WORKED FOR MORE THAN 3 YEARS WITH EACH EMPLOYER. This does require some discretion.
- We only seek those working for contractors. CONCEPTUAL EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
- Prefer candidates within a 90120minute radius
Nice To Have:
- Involved with finding the projects to bid on and bringing them to their employer.
- CAD is a plus.
- Jersey experience is a plus.
