Our Air & Naval division is hiring for a Junior System Integration Verification & Validation role based in Ottawa. Joining our team means you will play a key role in developing and executing test cases for software and integration verification & validation. In our labs youll conduct integration and verification testing analyze results track defects and contribute to automation by maintaining test scripts. Youll also participate in technical reviews continuous improvement initiatives all while expanding your knowledge. This is ideal for someone passionate about testing problemsolving and learning.
- Review requirement specifications interface control documents design documents and use cases in order to develop test cases for software and integration verification & validation
- Prepare and review verification test procedures and reports
- Perform integration and verification in labs as required
- Prepare test cases in a lab environment
- Perform analysis and interpretation of integration and verification test results
- Prepare analyze and track defect reports
- Participate in System Technical Review Board as required
- Generate and maintain test scripts for automated testing
- Map test cases as required
- Participate in reviews inspections and audits
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Expand knowledge of latest technologies products and market trends relevant to area of work
- Report progress and status
- Share knowledge and present ideas to colleagues
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering or applicable scientific discipline
- Relevant Internship or CoOp experience in defining developing and executing integration or qualification tests and understanding the interdependencies and interactions between subsystems
- Experience in the investigation recommendations and resolution of defects
- Experience with Integration and Verification systems
- Experience with test plan procedure and report preparation
Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations.
Assets:
- Experience in development of test automation scripts
- Experience with requirement management tools (e.g. DOORS)
- Experience with test engineering processes and tool
- General knowledge of RTCA DO178C
