Conduct daily field inspections to verify construction activities comply with project plans specifications and regulatory requirements.
Generate and maintain accurate documentation on construction activities.
Track installed quantities for project payment approvals.
Evaluate proposed field changes and coordinate with Project Engineers and Contractors to resolve issues.
Provide a high level of customer service.
Support Engineering Inspection staff and offer technical assistance to ensure responsibilities are consistently met.
Perform utility installation observation onsite material testing and collect data using electronic devices.
Address customer inquiries and concerns.
Review and approve timesheets inspection reports and other Inspectorgenerated documentation.
Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in engineering or a directly related field and four years of paraprofessional engineering experience including experience at the senior technician specialist or lead level.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job unless subject to additional legal or regulatory requirements.
Licensing and Certifications:
Valid North Carolina Class C Drivers License with a satisfactory driving record or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MS Office applications City Works Work Order System and Revu Bluebeam software systems.
