Responsibilities
What you will do
The Senior Director Sales manager – Research Services is accountable for representing Oracle Life Sciences at Life Sciences customers throughout Europe and leading a team of sales professionals across all key RWE and Data Analytics Clinical Regulatory and Safety and Commercial & Marketing Insights customer functions.
In this role you are responsible for all aspects of account management and meeting sales objectives for your team. Success is measured against sales targets and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). You will work across functional teams to ensure overall business unit objects are met and to ensure the delivery of highquality engagements and strong longterm partnerships.
Responsibilities include:
- Manages through direct engagement and the activities of the team customer sales activities to achieve sales objectives.
- Ensure the team organises and delivers impactful sales pitches drives proposal development gains internal proposal approvals and executes customer engagements in conjunction with our Research Business leaders to gain trust and new business with prospects and develops greater wallet share with existing customers.
- Networks internally and externally to develop strong business relationships at all levels.
- Assists in the development of short to longterm plans to achieve strategic business unit objectives.
- Coaching performance management and career development of the team.
- Participates in the hiring process and is responsible for hiring decisions.
- Helps develop and manages team budgets.
- Travel up to 25%
- This position can be based in the UK France or Peninsular Spain
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- At least 10 years of experience in Life Sciences Research Services Sales
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a sales team in a large matrixed organization with demonstrable trackrecord of delivering against team sales targets
- Experience with selling custom market research services to pharmaceutical customers
- Extensive knowledge of the Life Sciences Pharma or BioTech industries
