1. Scientific Engagement & Thought Leader Collaboration:
- Build and maintain professional relationships with external experts (thought leaders) in the gastroenterology field.
- Engage in peertopeer scientific discussions to enhance the understanding of AbbVies products and therapeutic areas.
- Identify opportunities for scientific exchange education and potential collaborations.
2. Medical and Scientific Support:
- Provide highquality nonpromotional scientific information to HCPs and other stakeholders in compliance with applicable guidelines.
- Address medical and scientific inquiries related to AbbVies gastroenterology products and therapeutic areas.
3. Training & Development:
- Participate in a structured onboarding and training program to develop expertise in the assigned therapeutic area.
- Collaborate with internal teams including sales and marketing to enhance scientific communication while maintaining scientific independence.
4. Clinical Research Support:
- Act as a liaison for investigatorinitiated studies (IIS) by facilitating communication between HCPs and AbbVies medical teams.
- Provide medical insights that contribute to the development of clinical strategies.
5. Medical Intelligence & Market Insights:
- Gather and share medical and scientific intelligence including competitor strategies emerging research and key trends in gastroenterology.
- Provide insights that contribute to the development of local medical strategies and brand planning.
6. Compliance & Ethical Standards:
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable national laws regulations and AbbVies internal policies and procedures.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions.
Qualifications :
- Education: Advanced degrees (Masters PharmD PhD MD) in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred but candidates with a strong scientific background and a passion for medical affairs will also be considered.
- Experience: Previous experience in medical affairs research or clinical practice is preferred but not required.
- Scientific Knowledge: Strong ability to learn and communicate complex scientific concepts effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Korean; proficiency in English is desirable.
- Compliance Awareness: Strong commitment to ethical standards compliance and scientific integrity.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work crossfunctionally and build relationships within a matrix environment.
- Learning Mindset: Willingness to develop expertise in gastroenterology through continuous learning and mentorship.
Additional Information :
ACCOUNTABILITY & SCOPE
- Provide scientific and technical input to local AbbVie teams and external stakeholders under the governance of the medical department.
- Ensure adherence to all compliance regulations guidelines and best practices.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key medical stakeholders in the gastroenterology field.
INTERNAL / EXTERNAL CONTACTS AND INTERACTIONS
- Internal: Medical Affairs Clinical Operations Medical Information Sales & Marketing Market Access Regulatory Affairs and Compliance teams.
- External: Healthcare professionals (HCPs) research investigators thought leaders scientific societies hospitals and regulatory authorities.
LOCATION
- This is a fieldbased role. Up to 30% of the time may be spent in the affiliate medical team office with the remainder dedicated to external engagement activities.
