Job Description

The Bosch Community Fund the corporate foundation for Bosch in North America was established in 2011 to provide community engagement and philanthropic support on behalf of the company. The Bosch Community Fund convenes community partners to connect and collaborate to enrich science technology engineering and math (STEM) education and sustainability efforts.

Lead the mission daily operations and longterm strategic plan of the foundation.  

  • Provide the board with timely accurate and comprehensive updates on the Bosch Community Fund operations financial status and progress toward strategic goals. Collaborate with the board to align operational activities with the Bosch Community Funds mission and vision.
  • Support program officers in implementing managing and demonstrating the results of grants across the region primarily through an invitationonly community engagement model focused on Bosch sites/communities.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to create implement or otherwise engage the Bosch Community Fund in national grantmaking and programs including crisis response.
  • Ensure internal and external compliance of all Bosch Community Fund activities.
  • Coordinate communications strategy and implementation to support Bosch Community Fund stakeholders internally and externally. Together with the team and Board of Trustees represent the interests of the Bosch Community Fund among key stakeholders to advance the mission and reputation of the organization.
  • Support alignment and identify opportunities for cooperation of foundation operations with the overall Bosch Corporate Social Responsibility strategy in the region.
  • Lead the Bosch Community Fund team in strategic stakeholder management internally (Bosch site representatives internal departments executive champions) and externally (community leaders key community partners academia).
  • Lead research and analysis of KPI for grantmaking including aggregate impact of grants within communities and across focus areas.
  • Together with the foundation Board manage all financial assets including long and shortterm investment strategy compliance internal/external audits and process optimization.
  • Together with the team mange all aspects of the grant management system including opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
  • Develop secure approval for and manage an annual operating budget for the Bosch Community Fund operations including grants and all expenses.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration nonprofit management social impact public policy foundation certifications or a related field 
  • 10 years of experience in corporate giving CSR philanthropy communications sales or marketing nonprofit or community development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team and working with a board.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with stakeholder engagement processes.
  • Experience in committee work and consensus building.
  • Strong and effective oral written and presentation skills.
  • Bachelors degree; nonprofit or foundation certification is preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Masters degree preferred. 
  • Proven experience managing grant programs including impact measurement and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate social responsibility (CSR) philanthropy trends and nonprofit governance.
  • Experience in financial management including budgeting investments and compliance with nonprofit regulations.
  • Ability to navigate and align foundation goals with corporate CSR initiatives.
  • Problemsolving skills with a proactive and adaptable approach to crisis response and community engagement.
