Job Description
Senior Accessibility Test Analyst (WCAG 2.2) & Compatibility Tester Sydney
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform both manual and automated accessibility testing against the WCAG 2.2 (or newer) guidelines across multiple industry browsers operating systems and mobile devices. (Mandatory)
- Conduct compatibility testing including mobile responsiveness testing to validate application behavior across various browsers operating systems and mobile devices. (Mandatory)
- Perform accessibility testing for solutions against WCAG 2.2 (or newer) as well as WCAG 2.0 guidelines including COTS products (such as Salesforce PEGA) or bespoke solutions. (Mandatory)
- Work closely with developers designers and product teams to provide feedback and recommendations for improving accessibility and compatibility.
- Create and document detailed accessibility test plans and test cases for different platforms and devices.
- Track report and manage defects identified during accessibility and compatibility testing ensuring resolution before deployment.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices in the development lifecycle.
- Stay updated on accessibility trends WCAG guidelines and best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in performing accessibility testing against WCAG 2.2 (or newer) guidelines.
- Solid background in performing compatibility testing including mobile responsiveness testing across various browsers operating systems and mobile devices.
- Experience testing COTS products (such as Salesforce PEGA) or bespoke solutions for accessibility compliance.
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.2 (or newer) and WCAG 2.0 guidelines and their application to various platforms.
- Ability to perform manual and automated accessibility assessments and document results.
- Familiarity with accessibility tools (e.g. axe WAVE JAWs VoiceOver) and browser developer tools for accessibility testing.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and report on accessibility and compatibility issues.
- WCAG 2.2 certification or equivalent (preferred).
- ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent (optional).
- Other relevant certifications in accessibility or web standards (preferred).
