Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Spa Director responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
- Demonstrate Fairmont core values in all interactions
- Provide exceptional leadership and support to the Recreation Departments. Support the spa department in the absence of a spa manager
- Responsible for fitness & membership sales to meet revenue budgets and liaise with the hotel departments for membership operations
- Report to the spa director monthly membership forecasts
- Responsible for recreational activities available to guests (including but not limited to kids club seasonal events pools gym fitness classes and tennis offerings etc.)
- Maintain full knowledge and monitor recreational department emergency procedures for all incidents accidents and other emergencies and apply first aid as needed
- Follow and ensure compliance with all local health department corporate hotel departmental weather and safety policies and procedures
- Schedule supervise direct and coordinate daily activities of the program for maximum productivity
- Establish implement and maintain operating procedures to ensure uniformity in our practices for recreation activities.
- Responsible for the development and communication of all group programming that can be used by sales to offer to groups.
- Develop strong relationships with sales conference services and public relations team to develop programs and ensure their success.
- Ensure promotion of recreation activities throughout the hotel through effective communication.
- Perform all Human Resources functions according to corporate policies includes finalizing payroll.
- Partner with the Spa Director for marketing and operations development.
- Partner with the Spa Director to develop and monitor the recreational programs operating capital expenditures and budgets.
- Participate in hotel committees special projects events and promotions as required.
- Strict adherence to all Health & Safety training guidelines and work practices previous during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor local government international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).
- Perform any other duties tasks and assignments within your division as required.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years management experience in membership management is preferred with 3 years directly in a hospitality environment
- Must have the ability to understand financial statements and manage forecast and P&L
- Infant/Child CPR & First Aid and SCARS are required
- Previous experience with creative program development and implementation is required
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of effective problem solving skills and demonstrating good judgment
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills with an excellent verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate a strong command of the English language
- Clear hearing vision & speech is required
- Comfortable directing/monitoring groups of children in educational and recreational activities
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast pace environment
- Demonstrated skills/hobbies directly related to youth activities (art sports music camping science gardening etc.) is preferred
