Job Description
Location: ACT QLD VIC WA
Work Arrangements: Hybrid/Remote
Security Clearance: Must hold NV1 Clearance

Job Duties and Responsibilities may include:
- Architecting and designing AWS infrastructure solutions to meet the organisational technical and business requirements
- Collaborating with crossfunction teams to optimize AWS services for cost performance security and reliability; while adhering to best practice and compliance standards
- Coordinate with senior leadership
- Work collaboratively with product owners and developers to identify test and assess security controls in alignment with the PSPF ISM E8 and organisational policy.
- Contribute to implementation of CNAPP/SASE tooling across cloud platforms
- Use and implementation of products relating to Azure Active Directory and Azure Active Directory Domain Services.
- Implementing solutions and tools as Proof of Concepts (PoCs) so they can be evaluated for use prior to use in the TS Cloud. This may include replicating production environments to enable PoCs and testing.
- Working with agencies to understand their current state architectures and make consideration for these in the architectural design. Ensuring relevant policies and standards are addressed and plan and design for emerging technologies (such as Zero Trust Architecture).
- Working closely with the industry cloud provider to architect feasible and viable solution architectures.
Technical skills required:
- Minimum 5 years experience in Cloud/AWS Engineering
- Experience with implementing and managing security controls
- Desirable: Bachelors degree in a related field.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) features such as Virtual Machine (VM) Virtual Network (VNET) Virtual Private Network (VPN) Express Route.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) features.
- Strong Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Cloud backup and disaster recovery.
Requirements
Essential criteria:
1. SCAD 5 Security operations: Level 5 (SFIA) Monitors the application and compliance of security operations procedures. Reviews actual or potential security breaches and vulnerabilities and ensures that they are promptly and thoroughly investigated. Recommends actions and appropriate control improvements. Ensures that security records are accurate and complete and that requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Contributes to the creation and maintenance of policy standards procedures and documentation for security.
2. ITOP 5 IT Infrastructure: Level 5 (SFIA) Provides technical leadership to optimise the performance of IT infrastructure. Investigates and manages the adoption of tools techniques and processes (including automation) for the management of systems and services. Oversees the planning installation maintenance and acceptance of new and updated infrastructure components and infrastructurebased services. Aligns to service expectations security requirements and other quality standards. Ensures that operational procedures and documentation are fit for purpose and kept up to date. Ensures that operational issues are identified recorded monitored and resolved. Provides appropriate status and other reports to specialists users and managers.
3. DESN 5 Systems design: Level 5 (SFIA) Designs large or complex systems and undertakes impact analysis on major design options and tradeoffs. Ensures the system design balances functional and nonfunctional requirements. Reviews systems designs and ensures appropriate methods tools and techniques are applied effectively. Makes recommendations and assesses and manages associated risks. Adopts and adapts system design methods tools and techniques. Contributes to development of system design policies standards and selection of architecture components.
