Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement
Develop and implement zonal sales strategies in alignment with the companys business objectives.
Monitor and achieve zonal sales targets for revenue volume and market share.
Identify growth opportunities and propose action plans for improvement in sales performance.

2. Team Management
Recruit train and motivate the sales team including Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and Sales Officers (SOs).
Conduct regular performance reviews provide feedback and ensure continuous skill development of team members.
Drive team alignment towards achieving collective and individual targets.

3. Channel Management
Oversee distributor appointment management and performance evaluation.
Ensure the proper implementation of trade schemes and offers across the zone.
Build and nurture relationships with key channel partners distributors and retailers to ensure smooth operations and high service levels.

4. Market Development
Analyze market trends competitor activities and customer preferences to identify opportunities for market share growth.
Plan and execute market activation and promotional campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.
Ensure optimal product visibility and placement at retail outlets.

5. Operations & Compliance
Ensure timely stock replenishment and maintain optimum inventory levels at distribution points.
Monitor and control expenses to ensure adherence to the zonal budget.
Ensure compliance with all company policies processes and statutory requirements.

6. Reporting & Insights
Prepare and present regular sales performance reports including market feedback and insights to senior management.
Provide inputs for product launches pricing strategies and supply chain optimization based on ground realities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of sales targets (revenue and volume).
Growth in market share and penetration in key markets.
Productivity metrics (sales per team member cost per sale etc.).
Distributor and retailer satisfaction levels.
Effectiveness of trade promotions and activations.
