Primary Responsibilities:
Low Voltage Setup and Maintenance:
- Implement advanced infrastructure for data transmission lines like Cat5 Cat6 and Cat7.
- Establish Voice infrastructure ensuring premium communication channels.
- Execute Fiber Optic Cable installations with a focus on highspeed and flawless data transmission.
- Work with Closet Configurations including fiber optic patch panels and enclosures.
- Engage in Panel Terminations ensuring proper signal flow and connection integrity.
- Carry out precision Fiber Splicing particularly with tools such as the Fujikura splicing machine ensuring minimal signal loss.
- Oversee Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) testing for fault identification and overall fiber quality.
- Set up and tweak Audio/Visual (A/V) equipment to ensure peak performance for varying communication needs.
- Oversee/Lead a team of technicians focused on installation and programming.
- Site Handling Documentation and Quality Assurance:
- Interpret job layouts for the most efficient and effective cable pathways.
- Pull cables with precision safeguarding against potential damages or interference.
- Accomplish rigorous postinstallation tests to ensure network stability and peak performance.
- Compose detailed documentation capturing the essence of the installation for future troubleshooting or upgrades.
- Client Relations and Ongoing Skill Enhancement:
- Offer impeccable customer service addressing all concerns with timeliness and expertise.
- Work cohesively within a team framework pooling resources and knowledge.
- Continually enrich skills attending manufacturers training and earning industrystandard certifications.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years immersive experience in cabling A/V installation and particularly advanced fiber optics.
- Management experience in leading teams.
- Deeprooted proficiency in fiber optic installation termination testing splicing and OTDR evaluations.
- Prior Manufacturers Training and Certification Courses especially for tools like Fujikura are a major plus.
- Physical readiness to handle equipment of up to 65 lbs adeptness with ladders and intricate cabling operations.
- Versatility to oscillate between pristine office conditions and bustling construction zones.
- Commendable interpersonal finesse and a teamfirst approach.
- PreEmployment Mandates:
- Active and valid drivers license.
- Successful navigation through mandatory drug tests.
- Clean slate on both criminal and DMV background assessments.
Compensation:
- A competitive compensation range of $28$36 per hour dependent on experience.
