Autoliv is looking for a Innovation Mechatronics Product Engineer for its European Steering Wheel Technical Center located in Chir en Montreuil near Poitiers (86 France).
If you think youll like to manage the following responsibilities at higher standards:
- Ensure the development of innovative products while respecting the Autoliv targets (robustness cost delay).
- Develop innovation mechatronics products for new Driver Unit (steering wheel driver airbag) and key components (mechanical & electronic) to accelerate our introduction to market and competitiveness.
- Conduct prestudies and feasibility studies of innovation ideas to support future interior designs to new user experiences HMI sensoring electrification trends and to autonomous driving vehicles.
- Conduct prestudies feasibilities in cooperation with customers partners suppliers and internal department and coordinate steering wheel new mechatronics components development.
- Define technical specifications for mechatronics function at system and components level with the associated validation plan.
- Participate and lead design reviews for mechatronics components.
- Coordinate locally and globally development teams
- Develop innovative demos test equipments to support steering wheel innovation promotion in cooperation with Marketing Business Units and Research department.
- Support Technical centers Business Units Research centers based on next customer innovation ideas and first level of answers.
- Support quotation team with prearchitecture proposal fitting with specific OEM business case and Autoliv strategy
and if you have/are:
- Level (diploma) required: Engineer.
- Fluent in English and French (spoken and written)
- Good seniority with 57 years of work experience in developing complex mechatronic products in the automotive industry. Proven experience in a tier 1 and in innovative or new product launch will be highly appreciated.
- Mastery of development of mechatronics product for the automotive industry.
- Very good knowledge of electronics (actuators ECU sensors illumination) software and system engineering.
- Good knowledge of mechanical design and electronics (hardware and software) Automotive Bus communication (LIN & CAN).
