Job Description
- Position: LPN MED SURG/TELE
- Location: Alexandria LA 71301
- Date: 3rd Mar 2025
- Employment Type: 13 weeks Contract
- Shift: Days
- Pay: $38/hr
- Weekly Gross Income: $1368/week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds : 36
- Patient Ratios : 1:6
- Unit staffing description (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 4 South has 2 stations and uses 2 unit secretariesdaily. We utilize patient care techs at all times the amount and ratio fluctuates depending on census.
- Type of equipment : Telemetry for each room with monitors in the stations Dynamaps for vital signs glucometers iMobile phones bladder scanner
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Scheduling requirements: 12 hour shifts (77) every other weekend holidays required as well.
- Floating policy: All nurses float to other units as needed.
- Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounding bedside shift report My Care Boards AIDET

Requested Skill Set: Strong nursing background and knowledge thorough assessment skills attention to details and condition changes.
Must have: Positive attitude flexibility dependability teamwork selfmotivation good communication and people skills desire for excellence accountability ability to multitask ability to deal with stressful situations.
Advanced skills needed: Telemetry rhythm interpretation
Procedures performed on unit: PICC line removal vas cath/temp cath removal
Certifications Required: BLS ACLS
Dress Code: (Required uniform)
- Ceil Blue Scrubs
- Hospital hygiene/dress code policy must be followed
