We are currently hiring for a Junior/Intermediate Systems Engineering Analyst to join our Land division on their ISTAR (Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance) program. You will be working with a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering a fully integrated tactical network capability for the Canadian Army. You will be part of an agile development team responsible for designing and building software components. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about communication systems looking to work in a team focused environment in an agile framework.
Your day can change you could be supporting with operational and system architecture system design developing system and subsystem requirements for hardware and software configuration items prototyping and evaluating new technologies for potential integration into the current capabilities. You will also support verification and validation test events throughout the product life cycle.
- Analysis and decomposition of complex problems into achievable solutions
- Develop and document system designs use cases and system interfaces
- Architecture Modelling in tools such as Enterprise Architecture
- Requirements Management in tools such as DOORs
- Verification and Validation support
- Prototype potential solutions for recommendation
- Investigate system defects and raise problem reports
- Assist in planning and coordinating solution and feature development
- Support external validation test events and field trials
- Some work may involve Networking and routing (e.g. Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) Microsoft Applications
- Expand knowledge of latest technologies products and market trends relevant to area of work
Qualifications :
- Knowledge of system engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of system and qualification test fundamentals
- Communication skills (verbal and in writing)
- Problem solving and root cause analysis skills
- Time management skills to meet schedule and budget targets
- Ability to understand complex technical systems
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 1 years of applicable experience internship or coop experience will be considered.
- Experience with Enterprise Architect DOORS Requirement Management Tools IBM RTC (EWM) Clearquest Code Collaborator are assets
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
