We are seeking a skilled and customerfocused Field Service Technician (Depot) to join our team in Singapore Singapore. In this role you will be responsible to conduct service maintenance and installation of Smiths Detection systems and equipment in order to meet and exceed the customers expectations with regards to operational availability and system performance of Smiths Detections products at customer sites ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction
- Installs repairs and maintains Xray equipment trace detectors and military equipment; provides customer training as required
- Documents all inspections maintenance repair work and submits paperwork in a timely basis
- Order install and return parts and manages repair parts cycle time
- Reviews all logs for open issues and prepares formal reports to customers as necessary
- Participates in Service sales opportunities and assists with promoting and implementing revenue programs
- Ensures that tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
- Assesses product/equipment performance based on field support data; recommends modifications or improvements
- Seeks to provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required
- May participate in site surveys pilot program service activities attend meetings champion special projects and prepare exclusive reports
- Possesses a solid level of technical knowledge on the companys products
- Maintains clear and concise business communication proficiency both oral and written
- Establishes and maintains a close relationship with senior level FSEs and Product Specialist in order to support the needs of the customer and remain aware of current technical trends
- Exercises every available measure to control and minimize costs
- Overtime beyond work hours may be required
- Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health safety and environmental policies
- Comply with all applicable export control and security regulations
- Other duties as required by the Manager
Qualifications :
- Engineering Diploma Higher NITEC/NITEC or Related Trade Certification in electrical electronic or mechanical fields (Military training in relevant areas may be considered)
- Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge of electrical and electronic systems are welcome
- Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Strong knowledge of trace and Xray technologies
- Excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg and perform tasks requiring full body mobility
- Experience operating equipment such as carts hoists davit cranes and pallet jacks
- Valid Class 3 drivers license and willingness to travel within the Singapore area
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours including evenings and weekends when required
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Adaptability to work in various environments including industrial settings
