PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary objective of this role is to identify and secure new clients and accounts for marketing and selling blueberries in the designated market. Additionally the role focuses on maintaining existing client relationships with customers and whole sellers and managing programs to maximize returns for our growers while ensuring optimal profit margins for the company.
Prospecting new accounts and new clients
Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into longlasting relationships to ensure Sales targets and budgets are achieved
Analyze Market trends and needs to identify new growth opportunities target new customers in the planning and execution of the company programs.
Develop and expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions to maximize opportunities that meet their objective
Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
Ensure the delivery of programs and sales to customers in an efficient and timely manner
Provide liaison between customers and the company by ensuring prompt and efficient processing of customer communication.
Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
Ensure that all critical information for each customer is loaded on the CRM system maintained and reviewed periodically.
Foster strong relationships and effectively manage existing wholesaler accounts.
Program Management
Manage seasonal sales plans with various clients ensuring alignment with key customer business objectives.
Ensure that potential programs are inserted in the seasonal supply & demand forecast and aligned with the most up to date crop estimate.
Grow existing Whole seller accounts to deliver on targets set.
Facilitate the selling of fruit to preferred customers in the correct market segments at the set price and at the required rate of sale.
Facilitate sales to the region responsible for various OZblu origins
Sales Administration
Create and maintain opportunities and communicate with the Sales Team when price and / or quantities are updated
Monitor buffer stock levels in order to know when more opportunities are required
Monitor vessel split process to ensure that the demand fulfillment plan in on track.
Monitor that Sales Orders are fulfilled on time (to ensure invoices are generated on time)
Monitor the Sales Finalization Report.
Receive quality and reflection feedback from the client to share with the Sales and Quality Teams.
Generate sales orders for customers and oversee the process through to invoicing.
Perform overall sale finalization monitoring and confirm when the sale in finalized.
Ensure costings are up to date and correct to ensure that the price agreed with the customer is profitable for the business.
Manage the sales process of the fruit and capturing sales orders on Famous ERP
Provide regular feedback to clients regarding information on their orders
Ensuring client payment terms are met consistently
Ensure credit limits are adhered to
Ensure price sheets are correct as agreed with clients
Assess if claims received are viable and process according to the claims processing policy
Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Grower Responsibilities
Ensure growers consistently achieve optimal returns maintaining clear and efficient communication regarding market insights.
Address grower queries with a strong marketing perspective providing timely and effective solution
Company Responsibilities
Maximize profitability on all fruit sales while maintaining a focus on achieving strong grower returns.
Negotiate strategic deals within the commercial framework that can lead to potential profits.
Ensure new clients are aligned with the terms and agreements of the business.
Collaborate with technical administrative and financial teams to support operational needs.
Prepare regular reports for analysis by Management on competitor activity sales trends and customer concerns.
KEY COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS)
Functional/Technical
Computer literacy: MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
Knowledge of CRM software advantageous
Knowledge of ERP system advantageous (Famous)
Excellent email etiquette
Berry marketing knowledge and some degree of product knowledge
