Job Description

Position: IT Project Program Manager
Location: Raleigh NC (27603)
Client: State of North Carolina
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Program Manager to lead a largescale data modernization initiative. This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders managing project activities and ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health and substantial project management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a governance model for data modernization.
  • Collaborate with business and IT leaders to create a modernization roadmap.
  • Manage multiple vendor engagements and oversee project schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop business cases for initiatives.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and present project updates to senior management.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in program/project management (7 years).
  • Proficiency in modern data architecture including data lakes and warehouses.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and crossfunctional team management.
