Job Description
Summary:
The Shop Foreman directs the activities of the shop teammates in performing mechanical repairs meeting time schedules and productivity levels while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting technicians in performing technical activities.
- Diagnose and repair to specifications brake and hydraulic exhaust primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical suspension and alignment air conditioning and computer systems.
- Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to nonmechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an asrequired basis.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Understand keep abreast of and comply with federal state and local regulations that affect the shops operations such as hazardous waste disposal righttoknow and environmental updates.
- Enforce safety requirements.
- Hire train motivate counsel and monitor the performance of all mechanical shop staff
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of automotive repair experience.
- 3 years of experience as a Lead Technician Shop Foreman or Advisor with previous technician experience
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools
- Ability to work collaboratively with other technicians service advisors and customers along with strong communication skills to explain maintenance needs and recommendations clearly.
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass preemployment testing to include background checks MVR drug test and valid driver license.
