Job Description
Job Title:Senior Linux Administrator
Location: Montreal Quebec Hybrid
Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support Linux Red Hat systems ensuring high availability and performance
- Experience with development using Prolog programming language to maintain existing client application.
- Develop and implement shell scripts Python programs and other scripting languages to automate tasks and processes
- Design develop and deploy database schemas using SQL.
- Write advanced SQL queries and commands to manage and analyze data.
- Collaborate with development teams to build and deploy applications in Kubernetes
- Implement and manage containerization using Docker and Podman
- Experience on security and compliance with IAM protocols including OIDC MTLS and SAML
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in Linux administration and development
- Expertise in shell scripting Python programming and other scripting languages (Perl)
- Advanced SQL skills including database schema design and query optimization
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Podman
- Strong background in development and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of IAM protocols including OIDC MTLS and SAML
Nice to Have:
- Industry certifications such as cloud certifications (AWS and/or Azure)
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL Sybase or DB2 database management systems
