Role Overview
We are seeking a LATAMbased Attorney Litigator with experience in complex litigation and a focus on U.S.related cases. The ideal candidate is licensed to practice law in their home country and willing or able to revalidate their credentials to practice in the U.S. on a parttime or projectbased schedule.
Responsibilities
- Handle litigation matters with a focus on crossborder or U.S.related cases including pretrial preparation negotiation and strategic planning.
- Provide legal advice on international compliance contractual disputes and financial litigation.
- Draft and review pleadings contracts and other legal documents under U.S. and international standards.
- Collaborate with U.S.based attorneys and teams on highstakes litigation.
- Support the revalidation process (if applicable) to meet statespecific requirements in the U.S.
Requirements
- Licensed attorney in a LATAM country with proven litigation experience (5 years).
- Strong understanding of U.S. legal systems or willingness to acquire relevant certifications (e.g. pass a state Bar Exam).
- Excellent legal drafting skills in English and Spanish (bilingual proficiency required).
- Experience with crossborder disputes financial litigation or corporate law.
- Availability to work parttime or on specific objectives with clear deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction (e.g. New York California or Texas) or active process of revalidation.
- Experience in litigation involving financial services compliance or international contracts.
- Knowledge of U.S. federal and state laws.
