Responsibilities and Duties:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will lead and supervise staff members as they perform their tasks and participate in budgeting scheduling and staff management. Responsibilities include:
- Assumes Engineer of Record role for Mechanical and Plumbing disciplines
- Provide overall direction for the MEP design team from inception to completion on a projectspecific basis
- Develop maintain and monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure ontime quality and onbudget project execution
- Responsible for the designs and development of HVAC and plumbing systems
- Performs and verifies load calculations for HVAC and plumbing systems
- Perform CA tasks review submittals/shop drawings respond to RFIs and attend CA meetings.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate field installations and conduct field observations
- Manage assigned projects including coordination and or direction for design team from inception to completion on a projectspecific basis
- Plan schedule conduct and or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work while maintaining quality standards on all projects
- Lead design and construction meetings
- Mentor junior team members and assign duties to design staff
- Provide Periodic objective and comprehensive employee checkins in support of Annual Performance Reviews
- Prepare and monitor contracts fee proposals and contract negotiations
- Collaborates with Business Development to build relationships and foster repeat work
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree from an Accredited Institution
- Current Professional Engineering License
- A minimum of 5 Years as Licensed Professional Engineer
- Ability of Obtain Professional Licensure in the State of Texas
- 10 Years Experience of MEP Design experience specifically in Municipal/Aviation Education Healthcare and Commercial Office sectors
- 7 Years Handson MEP Design Experience
- 3 Years of Project Management Experience
- 3 Years Supervisory Experience directly over an MEP Design Team
