Position Overview: As a Senior Civil Engineer you will leverage your extensive expertise in civil engineering to oversee and guide our design teams through complex projects. Your role will involve managing project delivery ensuring compliance with engineering standards and leading innovative solutions in roadway water drainage and sewage systems. You will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring the successful execution of highimpact projects.
Key Responsibilities: - Project Leadership and Management:
- Lead and mentor design teams to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee the planning design and execution of civil engineering projects related to roadways water drainage and sewage systems.
- Develop and manage project schedules budgets and resource allocations.
- Technical Expertise:
- Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with local state and federal regulations as well as industry standards.
- Review and approve engineering plans specifications and reports.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients addressing their needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of engineering practice.
- Conduct regular project reviews and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Team Development:
- Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and design team members.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment encouraging professional growth and development.
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering with a focus on roadways water drainage and sewage systems. Demonstrated experience in managing and leading engineering design teams. Experience working within MiamiDade county.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in engineering design software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant modeling tools).
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
