Senior Controls Engineer Robotic Assembly
Responsibilites:
Build a robotic assembly system (including design review mechanical assembly testing etc.). Collaborative Robots (COBOTs) mounted to a fixed cart
- Location docks with mechanical docking of the COBOT cart along with power and air hookup and an End of Arm Tool (EOAT) mounted to the robot for pick and place operations (guided by a vision system)
- AGV/AMR to move COBOTS to/from the docking and assembly stations
- Key technologies: MiR AMR Universal Robotics COBOT COGNEX Vision Cameras Ignition SCADA
- Other key technologies: AllenBradley controls motors/drives (either AllenBradley or Bosch Rexroth)
Requirements:
- PLC and HMI Programming: Design program and configure PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (HumanMachine Interface) systems using industrystandard software tools such as AllenBradley Siemens CoDeSys or Mitsubishi.
- System Integration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams to seamlessly integrate control systems with existing manufacturing processes ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- System Analysis and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough system analysis testing and troubleshooting to guarantee optimal operation and performance of automation systems.
- Technical Support and Training: Provide expert technical support and training to Engineers Technicians and Customers ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and tools to operate systems effectively.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all projects meet regulatory standards and adhere to strict safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering Mechanical Engineering Computer Science or an equivalent field is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 12 years of experience in control systems engineering
- Technical Skills: Proficient in PLC programming and configuration with experience in AllenBradley Siemens CoDeSys or Mitsubishi platforms. Solid knowledge of motion control sensor integration and data acquisition systems.
- Industry Expertise: Broadbased experience across multiple market segments. Experience with advanced automation cells or vision or robotics a plus.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Pay Rate: 70/Hr
