Job Description
This role will support the expansion of Workday globally for HCM as the Data Conversion Lead. Inclusive of managing a data analyst and working with the implementation partner. Data conversion for this project consists of onboarding HCM data for 18 countries across multiple Workday Modules. Looking for someone who is experienced in large implementations into an existing tenant in a short timeframe. They should be able to quickly acclimate to the timeline and swiftly move the along helping to support the success of the project.
Client is seeking a Data Conversion Lead that will support the expansion of HCM & Canadian Payroll into Workday globally. This role will manage a data analyst and work directly with a partner companys data conversion team on conversion activity. This projects data conversion consists of converting data from 18 countries legacy systems into multiple Workday Modules. Looking for someone who is experienced in large implementations into an existing tenant in a short timeframe. They should be able to quickly acclimate to the timeline and swiftly move the along helping to support the success of the project.
The Opportunity
Facilitate and lead discussions on around requirements conversion and validation methodology of data to and from Workday.
Lead and guide data conversion activities during deployment of Workday modules (e.g. converting HCM or payroll data from legacy systems into Workday).
Partner with internal clients to resolve data conversion related issues ensuring data integrity and/or achieving greater process efficiencies.
Facilitate data related problem solving between third party vendors customer resources and subject matter experts/process owners.
Research data conversion and/or reporting issues identify root cause and implement corrective measures.
Facilitate data conversion testing and validation activities with internal and external stakeholders.
Work with external partners to leverage external data conversion automation capabilities and accelerators.
What You Need
3 years of Handson Workday experience in senior data conversion roles across implementation/deployments (not just production support).
Knowledge of ETL Process and experience around data conversion and migration strategies from and to systems like Oracle Peoplesoft AS400 and SAP.
Good understanding of Workday methodology and tenant build stages.
Experience mapping data requirements and translating to Workday structures/workbooks.
Experience with Workday data loading using iLoads XML Web Services and EIBs
Good at creating custom reports for data validation and related needs.
A strong focus on customer satisfaction while effectively managing client expectations.
Will require attending early morning or late evening meetings to meet with customer team leads and other team members who may be in different time zones.
Experience managing and working with global teams on large scale deployments
