Job Description

Job Title: Welding Inspector

Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

About Our Client:

Our client is a key player in a consortium dedicated to delivering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabias

ambitious National Renewable Energy Program. This initiative aims to achieve a total renewable

energy capacity of 11.4 GW once fully operational.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Welding Inspector to ensure the quality and integrity of welded structures in compliance with industry standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail strong knowledge of welding processes and the ability to interpret technical drawings and codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding inspections on offshore structures pipelines and equipment to ensure compliance with API ASME AWS and other relevant standards.
  • Conduct visual and NDT inspections (ultrasonic radiographic magnetic particle and dye penetrant testing) on welds and structural components.
  • Review and interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS) procedure qualification records (PQR) and welder performance qualifications (WPQ).
  • Ensure proper preweld inprocess and postweld inspections are conducted in accordance with project specifications.
  • Identify welding defects assess severity and recommend corrective actions to maintain structural integrity and safety.
  • Work closely with welders engineers and quality control teams to ensure adherence to welding best practices.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records reports and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Enforce offshore health safety and environmental (HSE) regulations ensuring all welding activities comply with industry safety standards.





Requirements

  • Diploma in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience OR
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering with at least 4 years of experience
  • Preferred: Experience in the oil & gas offshore service sector
  • Preference for candidates with ARAMCO experience
  • ARAMCO ComputerBased Testing (CBT) is an added advantage
  • Immediate availability required
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) AWS or CSWIP certification
  • NonDestructive Testing (NDT) Level II or III certification in UT RT MT PT.
  • BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training) certification.
  • HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) certification.
