Roles and responsibilities
- Provides support to Departments on the implementation of SMS.
- Exhibit safety leadership and promote safety culture.
- Understand Process Safety Management (PSM) elements and their application.
- Represent Safety Division in Assigned Area as a business team member.
- Educate employees and contractors about safety policies, procedures and programs.
- Participate in the development of safety policies, procedures and programs.
- Participate and support in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Incidents reporting, classification, investigation and lesson learn.
- Facilitate and participate in the implementation of the Safety Award and Recognition (SAR), Quarterly Safety Inspection (QSI), Emergency Response Drill (ERD) and Management Safety Walkthrough (MSW) in assigned area.
- Support in the review of Pre-Incident-Plans.
- Administrate HSE recommendations upload and follow up.
- Contribute in the development, implementation and communication of Safety events, campaigns, awareness, training and the distribution of safety materials.
- Participate actively in Off-The-Job Safety program implementation.
- Participate in Division and Assigned Area Monthly Safety meetings.
- Participate in Pre-Start-Up Safety Review (PSSR).
- Supports Internal Auditors for SMS Element and Department Audits.
- Deliver Safety Mandatory Training Sessions.
- Participate in the review of Method of Statement and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for high-risk activities.
- Conduct daily and monthly compliance review of Work Permit System including JSA implementation at assigned area (Field/Desk).
- Monitor the implementation of Behavior Observation Program (BOP) in assigned area.
- Review Management of Change (MOC) requests as a business team member.
- Analyze safety key performance indicators (KPI) and statistics of assigned area such as (HSE Accidents, Near miss, BOP, Unsafe situation, Recommendations, SAR, QSI, ERD, MSW, etc…) and support to achieve goals.
- Mentoring and couching of new assigned safety advisors.
- Support HSE coordinators from other departments.
Desired candidate profile
High school or higher.
Minimum Experience
Five (5+) years of safety or operation experience in oil and gas industry.
Safety Standards Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, local safety laws, and industry-specific safety standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA, EPA).
Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification: Strong skills in identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and recommending preventive or corrective actions.
Inspection & Auditing: Expertise in conducting safety inspections and audits, with the ability to spot potential hazards, safety violations, and areas for improvement.
Incident Investigation: Ability to investigate accidents and near-misses, determine root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Reporting & Documentation: Proficient in preparing clear and detailed safety reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose practical solutions to improve safety in the workplace.
Training & Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with workers, supervisors, and management regarding safety practices. Ability to provide training on safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure all safety regulations are followed and that risks are properly mitigated.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different departments to enhance safety awareness and compliance.
