Job Description
Role: Project & Program Management (Physical data center migration)
Location: Long Island NY
Mode of employment: Longterm Contract
Job Summary
- Oversee and manage the endtoend operations for a US based retail bank
- Project Management:
- Lead the planning execution and delivery of complex infrastructure projects including network server storage and security implementations.
- Define project scope timelines budget and resource allocation ensuring alignment with client requirements.
- Monitor project progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) SLAs identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage project dependencies and effectively communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Team Leadership:
- Build and manage a highperforming team of infrastructure engineers assigning tasks providing mentorship and fostering collaboration.
- Develop team capabilities through training and skill development initiatives ensuring technical proficiency across the team.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Technical Expertise:
- Good understanding of various infrastructure technologies including cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) network design data center operations server virtualization and security protocols.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in the infrastructure landscape to identify potential solutions and improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to the team on complex issues.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients understand their business needs and ensure project deliverables meet their expectations.
- Proactively address client concerns and manage escalations effectively.
- Conduct regular client reviews and present project status updates.
- Cost and Quality Control:
- Monitor project budget and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement quality assurance processes to identify and address potential issues early on.
Years of experience needed 15 to 20 years
Technical Skills:
- Preferred bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure delivery with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing networking storage and security technologies. Prior experience of DC operations migrations and transformation project.
- Excellent project management skills including planning scheduling risk management and budget control.
- Proven leadership abilities to motivate and guide a team of technical professionals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
