Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and resultsdriven Manufacturing Buyer to join our team. In this role you will play a critical part in negotiating with suppliers managing inventory and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and materials to support manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain processes excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate suppliers for quality timeliness and alignment with company goals.
- Monitor the flow of material supplies and identify potential shortages or bottlenecks.
- Resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies or shortages.
- Analyze market trends to forecast potential challenges and opportunities.
- Address supplierrelated concerns including quality and ontime delivery performance.
- Manage procurement deadlines to meet project expectations.
- Obtain quotes negotiate pricing and place orders for materials and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment with project needs.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts quotes and performance metrics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize workload and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong negotiation skills and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
