Senior Systems Engineer

What will you be doing 

As a Senior System Engineer you will join our team in Barnstaple to support our activities within the maritime sector. 

• Develop and manage requirements using IBM DOORS aligning with industry standards and complex system needs.
• Design and implement Integrated Test Evaluation & Acceptance Plans (ITEAPs) to validate and verify system performance for maritime defence platforms.
• Collaborate with teams to derive actionable requirements from highlevel standards contributing to robust system designs.
• Ensure smooth project delivery by actively managing milestones and resolving key delivery actions.
• Apply your expertise in the Defence sector particularly in the context of maritime technology.
• Travel as needed to support project milestones with all expenses covered

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Develop and manage requirements using IBM DOORS ensuring alignment with industry standards and project goals.
• Create and implement Integrated Test Evaluation & Acceptance Plans (ITEAPs) to verify and validate system performance.
• Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to derive requirements from standards and deliver integrated solutions.
• Support project delivery by proactively managing milestones chasing actions and ensuring timelines are met.
• Leverage your experience in the Defence sector to address complex engineering challenges.
• Travel as needed to client locations (expenses covered) to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.

Qualifications :

Experience skills and qualifications required: 

• Proficiency in IBM DOORS for requirements engineering.
• Experience in generating and implementing ITEAPs.
• A background in Defence engineering or similar domains with a focus on system integration and testing.
• Security Clearance (SC) or the ability to obtain SC (UK Eyes Only).
• Strong communication and project management skills to ensure effective collaboration and delivery.
• A proactive mindset to drive project actions and meet deliverables.
• Experience in liaising with diverse stakeholders across technical and managerial levels.
