Job Description
Position Name: Respiratory Therapist (Allied)
Location: Johnson City NY 13790
Pay Rate: $56/hr
Contract Length: 13 weeks contract
Shift: Night
Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed
Your pay is based on whether you are in a local or travel position. A travel position is defined as residing more than 50 miles from the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Assess treat and care for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen therapy aerosol medications and ventilator support.
- Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Perform diagnostic tests including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments equipment use and disease management.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare providers to coordinate care.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy
Preferred:
- One (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist
License/Certification Minimum Required:
- New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License
- Registered by the NBRC as a Respiratory Therapist
- BLS Certification (Required)
Work Environment:
- Work performed on all patient care units mostly at bedside
- Ability to push equipment
- Limited access to O outlets

- All Age Groups
