You will collaborate with senior business and finance stakeholders to ensure that Europes external ESG disclosures are accurate balanced understandable and compliant with evolving regulatory requirements. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of ESG reporting addressing growing interest from regulators investors and the broader market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing executing and documenting Europe ESG disclosures and controls to ensure consistent reliable and accurate reporting of nonfinancial data across impacted entities.
- Keeping senior management and the Group ESG CFO informed about disclosure requirements under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and other relevant regulations.
- Overseeing and resolving data challenges with the Data Architecture Office and Finance Change Delivery teams.
- Developing and managing robust controls and assurance processes to meet the quality standards for external reporting required by CSRD regulations.
- Contributing to the broader climate strategy and advising on its implications.
The role also involves engaging with key stakeholders supporting governance and compliance and ensuring the successful production and publication of external ESG disclosures in alignment with new regulatory frameworks. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape the future of ESG reporting in Europe.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance within a major institution ideally with expertise in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and adapting to new reporting requirements.
- Knowledge and experience with NFRD are preferred but not essential.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to connect numbers performance drivers and realworld events.
- Highly motivated diligent collaborative personable and capable of working independently while exercising sound judgment.
- Strong project management skills including the creation of efficient processes and governance structures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop and articulate viewpoints to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problemsolving and prioritization abilities capable of addressing emerging issues effectively.
- Comfortable working within complex global organizational structures.
Qualifications
- A quantitative degree ideally paired with professional finance education (e.g. Qualified Accountant).
Skills
- Proficiency in Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
