Job Description
A Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for all culinary dishes that are prepared in their section. Because of this a successful CDP Saut must be very knowledgeable about his or her specialty as well as culinary functions in general. A CDP must also be able to give orders within their section as well as reliably carry out orders handed down to them by the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
- The Chef de Parties primary role is to oversee the preparation cooking and presentation of food in their respective section of the kitchen operation/menu during lunch service
- Will focus on grilling and sauting foods and dishes for lunch
- Consistently cooking proteins at proper temperatures in a timely fashion is a must
- Ability to read and reiterate tickets
- Assist with daily kitchen prep work and station setup before service and maintaining the highest quality food preparation standards
- Prepare cook and present culinary dishes; enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen; and troubleshooting any problems that may arise
- Works with Executive Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine to maintain standards and create new dishes
- Assists the Kitchen and Restaurant teams in preparing and executing any events
- Picks garnish as needed from the JUSTIN garden and communicates product needs
Qualifications :
- 2 years fine dining culinary experience
- ServSafe Certified
- Culinary Degree preferred but not required
- Demonstrated strong ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to establish direction obtain commitment and execute appropriate logistical processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and passion about food and wine
- Must thrive in a fastpaced working environment
- Have a calm and approachable demeanor
Pay Rate: $23.00 $27.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
