Position Overview
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for providing strategic leadership overseeing operations and ensuring financial stability while delivering highquality healthcare services. He/she will
work closely with the board of directors senior management healthcare providers regulatory bodies and stakeholders to drive the organizations mission growth and compliance with healthcare regulations.
The role may also involve frequent travel to healthcare facilities corporate partners and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Vision
Develop and implement the overall strategic plan to achieve the HMOs mission vision and longterm goals.
Lead the organization in adapting to industry trends regulatory changes and technological advancements.
Establish partnerships with healthcare providers insurers and government agencies to expand service offerings.
2. Operational & Financial Management
Oversee the daytoday operations of the HMO ensuring efficiency quality service delivery and costeffectiveness.
Develop and manage the organizations budget ensuring financial sustainability and profitability.
Implement effective risk management strategies and cost containment measures.
Ensure optimal utilization of resources including staff technology and infrastructure.
3. Regulatory Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with all federal state and local healthcare laws regulations and accreditation requirements.
Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies such as the Department of Health Insurance Commission and other relevant agencies.
Report to the board of directors on financial and operational performance strategic initiatives and regulatory compliance.
4. Healthcare Quality & Member Satisfaction
Oversee the development of policies and programs that enhance the quality of care provided to members.
Ensure member satisfaction through effective service delivery grievance resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to enhance healthcare outcomes.
5. Leadership & Team Development
Lead and inspire a highperforming executive team and workforce.
Foster a culture of accountability innovation and continuous improvement.
Implement professional development programs to enhance staff competencies and engagement.
6. Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify and pursue opportunities for growth including new markets products and partnerships.
Develop strategies to increase membership enrollment and retention.
Strengthen relationships with corporate clients employers and healthcare providers.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background
Bachelor s degree in healthcare administration business administration public health or a related field.
Master s degree (MBA MHA MPH or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in healthcare insurance or managed care organizations.
Proven track record of executive management in an HMOhospital insurance or healthcarerelated organization.
Experience in financial management regulatory compliance and healthcare operations.
Key Skills
Strong leadership decisionmaking and strategic planning abilities.
Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Indepth knowledge of healthcare laws policies and industry trends.
Financial acumen and experience in risk management and cost control.
