Job description
- Responsible for general systems engineering with a focus on aiding operations team members in maintaining compliance and a secure infrastructure in a continuous availability environment
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field with a focus on security or minimum of 5 years related experience or combination.
- Proficient technical server support skills in at least one but preferably both Linux & Windows technology platforms.
- Knowledge in VMware virtualization technology and supporting software products.
- Experience with configuring security policies and securing infrastructure and data for compliance with SOCII PCI and NIST.
- Indepth research of the latest in security policy compliance requirements techniques and best practices to remain at the bleeding edge as internal and external compliance requirements continue to evolve.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages Python PowerShell etc to implement and automate policy compliance.
- Indepth knowledge of DevSecOps principles and experience with Ci/CD tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- Create and support KPIs and KRIs that measure risk reduction and progress in compliance over time.
- Help governance compliance and risk management teams to ensure the system consistently meets the requirements for certification and accreditation.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum and/or Kanban)
- Provides consistent regular communication with all project partners at all levels including presentations to senior management creating agendas and meeting minutes.
- Excellent English language skills (oral written conversational & technical skills).
- Be available during nonbusiness hours to address production issues and perform maintenance.
- Develop and mentors junior team members.

- VMware certifications VCP preferred
- Industry Cloud Certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP) are a plus
- Linux certifications RedHat etc are a plus.
