Job Description

  • Challenge yourself to lead the strategic people plan and industrial Relations activities across the Americas region 
  • Lead a team and partner with business leaders as a trusted senior advisor 
  • Full time permanent position based in LAX 
  • $150000 $190000USD salaried position

As the Senior Manager People & Labor Relations you will act as the strategic HR business lead to a diverse group of stakeholders collaborating closely with senior leaders across the Qantas Americas portfolio. In this role you will lead the development and implementation of people strategies initiatives programs and policies at a senior level overseeing multiple business units. With a broad client base you will provide highlevel strategic advice and guidance while driving impactful business discussions with senior leadership.  

Alongside this you be responsible for managing the employee/labor relations function for the Americas region with a focus on LAX engineering union negotiations and union relationships. 

 

What youll bring to the role: 

  • Extensive HR business partnering experience with senior leadership teams in a large complex organisation 
  • Industrial Relations experience in the United States including CBA negotiations and Management 
  • Knowledge of Californian Labor Law
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US benefits administration and compliance 
  • Experience working in a satellite office with reporting structure back to HQ 
  • Proven ability managing change and building organisational capability 
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence senior leaders 
  • Highly developed business and commercial acumen and the ability to effectively use HR data and analytics to drive people solutions 
  • People leaderships skills with the ability to successful lead and develop a team
