AHRC NYC seeks Occupational Therapist to review and interpret assessment data & present students needs & capabilities. Establish relevant & attainable goals per assessment data. Prepare IEPs daily treatment plans & progress reports. Work within a classroom setting & with staff to create environment to maximize function& compensate for dysfunction. Provide purposeful activities/methods to develop maintain improve restore &/or maximize function. Meet regularly with classroom staff & interdisciplinary team for maximum service delivery. Demonstrate knowledge of students disability & impact on performance & functioning. Demonstrate knowledge of treatment precautions & contraindications. Adapt treatment activities as necessary to achieve goals. Maintain behavioral student records & manage emergencies per policy & procedure. Submit session notes & paperwork within administrative timelines. Maintain work area equipment & supplies. Work as member of OT Team to manage caseloads Recommend students for adaptive equipment screening to appropriate staff to initiate contacts. Manage screenings & follow up for equipment services. Demonstrate knowledge & understanding of professional standards & code of ethics. Incorporate current theory & research into treatment plans. Participate in IEP & Annual Review meetings. Terminate treatment when students receive maximum service benefits.
Salary: $77662 per year
