As the Occupational Therapist you will assess students functional abilities to identify needs related to fine and gross motor skills sensory processing selfcare and daily tasks. You ll conduct thorough evaluations prepare detailed reports and craft individualized treatment plans that align with each student s IEP goals. Through personalized and group therapy sessions youll help students overcome sensory and motor challenges fostering their independence and success.
Collaboration is key youll work closely with IEP teams to design therapy strategies that complement educational objectives and promote learning in both classroom and realworld environments. Monitoring and documenting student progress will be essential to track their continued development and growth.
Requirements
The preferred candidate must possess a Master s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution and hold a valid Illinois state license for practice. Experience working with K12 students in a school environment is strongly desired. The role requires a deep understanding of child development educational assessments and schoolbased therapeutic strategies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential as the position involves close collaboration with students educators parents and other professionals to support student achievement.
