Job Description

Salary:
$20$32/hourly
Job Purpose:
Set up adjust and maintain equipment to facilitate the highest possible production quality
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment. Plan for and take corrective action when problems occur
- Review production schedule to organize regular maintenance
- Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs changeovers and extended down time
- Assist in clearing machine jams
- Test equipment to verify proper working order
- Perform quality checks using gauges instruments and proper forms. Check finished product for visual defects
- Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action
- Examine defects and spoilage for possible causes and take appropriate action when possible
- Analysis of production delays. Summarize causes on daily production report
- Direct line operators packers and service personnel such as lift truck operators in details of daily schedule standard operating procedures and requirements
- Notify maintenance supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken if applicable
- Notify maintenance supervisor of quality issues and supply needs
- Instruct and/or direct any maintenance trainees assigned
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read use and understand gauges tools and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair
- High mental and visual effort required
- Ability to perform basic math skills including but not limited to: Addition Subtraction Division and Multiplication
- Willingness to work rotating shifts on a continuous sevenday cycle
- Exceptional problemsolving and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively use hand tools and trade type tools
- High sense of urgency
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to speak and write English fluently
Qualifications :
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of threeyear formal training program
Experience:
- 1 years of preventative maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience.
