The Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform (DAP) group is a key component of Visas Technology organization that provides the enabling technology and processes to handle Visas data assets and deliver valuable information products and services to customers. Areas of focus include Business Intelligence and Analytics Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Data as a Service and Platform as a Service etc. The portfolio comprises of over 60 data products & platforms for various external clients and internal lines of business. We are responsible for designing developing and implementing next generation data platforms to drive incremental revenue.
Responsibilities:
Handson Programming
Fullstack development contributes to the design of backend databases and queries API creations and consumptions and contributes to frontend UI development.
Works independently with minimal insight to develop software that conforms to Visas high standards of security quality performance resiliency and compliance.
Design develop and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate
Provide thirdlevel support to business users.
Keep up with current and developing engineering trends.
Work with architects systems analysts project managers and other developers to efficiently implement business requirements while applying the latest available tools and technology.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a technical field such as Computer Science Computer
Engineering or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
1 years of software development experience with a concentration in data
centric initiatives.
Demonstrated expertise in leveraging standard development best practice
methodologies.
Solid handson experience with Java and related frameworks.
Experience in working with any of the databases.
Exposure to UI development and Gen AI technologies and tools is an added
advantage.
Experience working in an Agile and TestDriven Development environment.
Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins Artifactory and
Git.
Strong strategic thinking and business acumen to orient data engineering to
the business needs of internal clients.
Demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor strong attention to detail.
Teamoriented energetic collaborative diplomatic and flexible style.
