Job Description

What youll do... 

  • Manage and communicate cash flow related issues which includes the accurate and timely preparation of cash flow statements management of receivables payables cash balances control mechanisms and timely deposits of all funds
  • Monitor hotel revenues and expenses and ensure the accurate recording in accordance with the hotel established guidelines
  • Create annual budgets and monthly variance analysis
  • Monitor the accurate production of the hotel daily operating report
  • Direct and/or prepare all financial reports in accordance with requirements meeting various deadlines
  • Investigate and critique variances to budget or to prior year and offer practical improvement methodologies to management
  • Monitor the capital planning process by assisting management with the calculation of return on capital improvements gathering support and monitoring the bid process and ensuring proper upkeep of the property by evaluating scope of work and specifications
  • Complies with Standard Accounting policies and procedures and internal controls for finance and accounting operations
  • Ensure hotels compliance on all regulatory licenses and permits leases contracts legal agreements and the proper execution of all operational taxes
  • Provide assistance to management in enforcing compliance on all these items
  • Analyze financial data and operations in order to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotels financial objectives. Ensure that all balance sheet accounts including bank reconciliations are reconciled on a timely basis
  • Embrace a continuous growth environment by actively providing feedback coaching and supporting the hotels operational leader
  • Hire train supervise and develop Finance team including coaching and counseling
  • Partner with Executive Committee on areas of collaboration to assure that property operations are on track and under control at all times

Qualifications :

What were looking for...

  • College Degree in Business Hospitality Accounting/Finance or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 7 (seven) years of progressive Finance/Accounting management experience in a fullservice property luxury hotel or brand
  • Considerable skill in math and algebraic equations using percentages.
  • A proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Opera Microsoft Word Excel Outlook & HRIS systems .
  • Hotel opening experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. 
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation.
  • Youre a strong team leader a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them.
  • You combine analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solutionfocused approach.
  • You have a passion for hospitality you inspire an enthusiastic guestcentered approach.
  • You can turn any situation around into a positive experience for all guests and team alike.

  • You are comfortable with the strategic as well as day to day detail.
