As a Data Engineer youll lead the development and maintenance of the data infrastructure powering our BI solutions. Leveraging your expertise in Databricks Azure Data Factory and Pyspark and advanced data engineering practices youll ensure data availability quality and scalability for critical business insights. Youll also play a key role in fostering innovation and driving best practices within our data ecosystem.
Your Responsibilities
- Data Pipeline Development: Design build and maintain advanced data pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Factory to integrate onpremise and cloud data sources.
- ETL Optimization: Develop and optimize ETL processes to guarantee data consistency accuracy and performance across our data lakehouse.
- BI Collaboration: Partner with BI engineers to structure data for seamless integration with Power BI and support reporting needs.
- Workflow Optimization: Enhance the scalability reliability and performance of data workflows across large datasets.
- ProblemSolving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in data pipelines and infrastructure with minimal supervision.
- Best Practices Implementation: Collaborate with the central data platform team to establish robust standards for data quality security and scalability.
- Team Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
What Were Looking For
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in data engineering with expertise in Databricks (Python PySpark SQL) and Azure Data Factory.
- Proven ability to design and optimize highperformance data pipelines for largescale environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms data lakes and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency with GitHub or similar version control and CI/CD tools.
- Advanced English language skills. German (mandatory in Baden) and/or Spanish (mandatory in Madrid) are required based on the location.
- Strong problemsolving skills and a proactive resultsoriented mindset.
- A solid academic background in engineering mathematics business or a related field.
