Job Description
The Technology Specialist is expected to be a subject matter expert for products and services within their domain as well as related and supporting technologies. Activities are focused on service enablement and ongoing service improvement.
The Technology Specialist is the primary point of contact for project activities and operational escalations within the UC realm. They work closely with a wide range of technical and business teams during the enabling of new services to ensure the quality of deliverables.

About this team The Unified Communications (UC) team within GT&K Global Enterprise Technology oversees a portfolio of communication and collaboration tools that enable connectivity across the organization. Key responsibilities include managing Microsoft Teams which serves as KPMGs hub for instant messaging voice and video calling virtual meetings and collaborative workspaces.
The UC team also manages Microsoft Exchange providing email and calendaring services that ensure reliable and efficient communication. To safeguard email communications and protect against security threats the team leverages Proofpoint an advanced email security solution that offers features like spam/bulk mail filtering phishing protection advanced threat detection data loss prevention and encryption.
Together these tools form the foundation of KPMGs communication ecosystem enabling employees to connect and collaborate with colleagues and clients efficiently and securely.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering with a focus on messaging Microsoft products and automation.
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related technology field or equivalent work experience.
- Microsoft Certifications especially in Exchange Azure & PowerShell.
- Other certifications such as Cloud Security Messaging Security and Service Management (ITIL) a bonus.
