Job Description
Technical Skill
Administration and troubleshooting of mixed environment (Onprem & Cloud (Azure/AWS).
- Responsible for handling escalated incidents and High Availability environment incident Management on UNIX Platform HPUX LINUX Solaris as primary skills and Windows platform as secondary skills
- Hands on experience on various Linux flavors like RHEL CentOS SuSE and Windows System Administrator such as Windows 2008 to Windows 2019
- Experience in Shell scripting Powershell and Ansible tools
- Must have Deep Shell scripting knowledge system administration expertise with willingness to work across OS familiarity with automation tool cloud services DevOps Agile and opensource technologies will be an added advantage
- Experience in automation tool/platform like BigFix Server Automation or Ansible to automate routine tasks
- Patch bundle creation & patch management experience
- Experience in Veritas Volume Manager (VVM) & Logical Volume Manager (LVM)
- Proactive problem Management. Perform Root Cause Analysis using quality tools.
- Change Management: Prepare Implementation backout and test plan for Change records. Perform risk and impact analysis for changes.
- Configuration Management: CMDB audits and regular updates of CMDB.
- Routine Performance Analysis Capacity analysis security audit analysis and remediation
- HA engineering for architecture of HA environment with OS / patch Release management Application load and maintain configuration of Central OS image servers.
- Scripting for monitoring/ automating the Sys admin activity for change scheduled as projects on multiple servers
- Performance management
- System installs upgrade and configuration
- Handson experience in Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) & Service Guard
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Good communication skills
- Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Other Qualifications
Certification in Red Hat Enterprise System Administration Azure AWS certified
Any patching tool like BigFix.
