Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Acute Care Rotating Shifts

Position Overview
Join a highly regarded tertiary care hospital in Rochester New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver exceptional care to patients in a fastpaced and dynamic environment. This position offers LPNs an excellent opportunity to develop professionally and enhance their skills especially for those transitioning to become Registered Nurses (RNs).
Shift Details
- Schedule: Rotating Day/Night shifts.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by taking your own assignments on medicalsurgical floors and other acute care units.
- Deliver care aligned with the hospitals protocols including medication administration wound care monitoring patient conditions and documenting in the patients record.
- Float to various departments as needed. If floated to ICU or ER responsibilities will involve assisting MSlevel patients or serving as helping hands.
- Communicate effectively with RNs physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
Required Education and Licensure:
- Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York State.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of acute care hospital experience.
Skills and Attributes:

Additional Details
- Floating Requirement: Floating is expected based on patient and staffing needs.
