Job Description

Open Position: Occupational Therapist

Location: Berkeley IL

Employment Type: FullTime/ FMLA Coverage

Job Description:

Position Highlights:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client s specific needs and goals.
  • Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and accessible.
  • Educate clients and families on adaptive tools techniques and strategies to promote independence in daily activities.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice maintaining confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Document evaluations treatment plans progress notes and reports in compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with families caregivers educators and other professionals to create strategies that support client development and progress.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to goalsetting and treatment planning for schoolbased clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients functional abilities in areas such as motor skills sensory processing and daily living activities.

Requirements

  1. Illinois State Certification with OT endorsement.
  2. At least a Master s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  3. Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Illinois.
  4. Prior experience in occupational therapy preferably with children of varying abilities.
