Job Description
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client s specific needs and goals.
- Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and accessible.
- Educate clients and families on adaptive tools techniques and strategies to promote independence in daily activities.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice maintaining confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies.
- Document evaluations treatment plans progress notes and reports in compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
- Collaborate with families caregivers educators and other professionals to create strategies that support client development and progress.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to goalsetting and treatment planning for schoolbased clients.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients functional abilities in areas such as motor skills sensory processing and daily living activities.
Requirements
- Illinois State Certification with OT endorsement.
- At least a Master s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Illinois.
- Prior experience in occupational therapy preferably with children of varying abilities.
