POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Safety & Maintenance Executive plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and upkeep of the
workplace environment. This position involves overseeing safety protocols conducting maintenance
checks and implementing strategies to prevent accidents and maintain equipment efficiency. The
Safety & Maintenance Executive collaborates with various departments to enforce safety regulations
and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Following are specifics responsibility for this role:
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Coordinate safety training programs for employees to enhance awareness and promote safe work practices.
• Investigate accidents incidents and nearmisses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Sales Assistance:
• Maintain records of safety inspections training sessions and incident reports for regulatory compliance and analysis.
• Collaborate with department heads to address safety concerns and implement corrective measures as necessary.
• Oversee the maintenance of equipment machinery and facilities to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment parts and initiate procurement as needed.
• Stay informed about emerging safety trends regulations and technologies to continuously improve safety practices and procedures.
• Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections as required.
• Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance staff fostering a culture of teamwork
accountability and excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering and Occupational Health and Safety or a
related field. Certification in safety management is preferred.
SKILLS:
• Proven experience in occupational health and safety management preferably in an industrial or Proven experience in occupational health and safety management preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards including OSHA EPA and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks analyze data and develop effective solutions.
