Job Description
Position Surgical Tech
Facility Brigham & Womens Hospital
Address 75 Francis St Boston MA 02115
Contract 13 weeks
Shift 4x10 or 4x12 Day/Evening rotation
Rate $60/hr
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team. The Surgical Tech will assist surgeons nurses and other members of the healthcare team in ensuring a sterile and efficient operating room environment.
Sterilize assemble and organize surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist the surgical team by passing instruments supplies and sutures during procedures.
Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Monitor and account for surgical instruments sponges and supplies to prevent retained items.
Assist in transporting patients to and from the operating room as needed.
Maintain compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow during procedures.
Qualifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Preffered)
Excellent knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in highpressure situations.
Previous experience in an operating room setting
